From the forests, 2018

galerie Michel Journiac Paris personal exhibition

For the exhibition From the forests, Jezy Knez splits up the space of the Michel Journiac gallery with universes on tables which show formal states on the verge of rupture and collapse follow one another. Drawing from the vocabulary of political challenges and focusing on concepts they relate to science fiction and tales of anticipation, the forms they compose crystallize open fictions giving way to a game of confrontations modeled by different natures and origins supposed that the designs of the ZONE series come to feed. They see them as elements allowing an omniscient look at situations created as organized systems. Troubling the scales between object, sculpture, architecture and environment, they develop worlds with minimized landscapes, inviting to project themselves there. From the mysterious black earth of archaeologists, to a formulation of mutations in nature agreed by man or in a self-defense reflex that can upset the surrounding balance, different autonomous systems add up to create an overall scenario fragmented which invites to anticipate a new order still unknown governed by forces already in presence.
