ZONE, 2016-

50 × 78 cm

ZONE is a serie of drawings showing each time two territories in confrontation, putting in tension the reproduction of an image extracted from a film and its erasure. The images, for the most part from anticipation and / or science fiction cinema, are chosen according to the plot (essential modifying event, first or last meeting in the same context between the protagonists and their enemies, etc.). Modular fresco, the alignment of the drawings makes it possible to develop a scenario standardized by the expansive mass. However, the return to white of the paper makes it possible to envisage this mass as the intermediate element between the fictional value of the image and the nature of its support. Mass exists both as an eternally abstract narrative element and as an illusively corrosive graphic element allowing to anticipate the disappearance of the image and then of the paper.
