I Hear the Sirens’ Song is a sound and visual research project inspired by a little-known urban scene born within New Zealand’s Polynesian youth : that of the Siren Kings. Armed with dismantled radios, alarm cones, and industrial speakers, they transform their bicycles into sonic vessels, gliding through the city like ships in the mist. Their sound battles, often dismissed as mere “noise” by media and local authorities ; are, in reality, rituals of resilience, unity, and cultural grounding.
