ICI OÙ LÀ, 2011

Saint Avertin invited by Le pays où le ciel est bleu

La Borne is a closed micro architecture, which has been moved to different urban spaces, ICI. Temporary exhibition space visible only from the outside, the spectator is held at a distance by two panes of glass, he does not enter.

My work, without knowing where to set up, was guided by the complex specificity of this container, which brings strangeness upon arrival and throughout its stay.

There, hybrid furniture will be offered, half collective seat (bench), half individual seats (chairs), the whole will be covered with reflective paint, micro beads embedded in the paint and which return the light like reflectors.

The walker becomes an active spectator. It becomes a “mobile” element between the location, the space that it regularly crosses physically and, mentally, the interior device visible through screen windows: device and landscape are put under tension.

Reflections, mobilities as many displacements – metaphors – (in Greek) as everyone can, if they want to engage. They will be redoubled by three light signs which are the neon lights HERE WHERE.
